Anders Herdevall Rydell
chairman, editor, critic and author of nonfiction
Anders Herdevall Rydell is an editor, critic and author of nonfiction. Herdevall Rydell, today editor in chief for the journal Författaren (The Authour), has in his authorial career published several books, thereamong the acclaimed nonfiction works The Looters and The Book Thieves and Stolen Music. He is recipient of several awards among them HM The King’s Medal of the 8th size, Hislibris Historical Literature Award (Best Historical Non-Fiction work) Spain and Micael Bindefeld’s Foundation Scholarship in memory of the Holocaust.

Mats Almegård
journalist and critic
Mats Almegård is a journalist and critic. He writes for newspapers such as Modern Psykologi, Dagens Nyheter, Fokus and Svensk Bokhandel. In the spring of 2026, his book Brandenburger Tor, Brecht & Berghain - The Best of Berlin was published by Bokförlaget Kaunitz-Olsson. Almegård has a PhD in German with a focus on literary studies.

Natalie Bloch
PhD in Hebrew Bible Exegesis, cultural critic and translator
Natalie Bloch holds a PhD in Hebrew Bible Exegesis and works as a cultural critic and translator of contemporary Hebrew literature into Swedish, with translations of works by Amos Oz, David Grossman, among others. Her research and teaching span Jewish culture and literature across the millennia.

Jens Liljestrand
scholar of literature, author and critic
Jens Liljestrand is a scholar of literature, author and critic. His 2009 dissertation on Vilhelm Moberg was followed by the acclaimed biography ”Mannen i skogen” in 2018, nominated to the August Award and awarded by the Swedish Academy and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. His climate dystopian novel ”Even if everything ends” (2021) was published in more than 20 countries. He is also a writer and critic in the daily newspaper Expressen.

Lizzie Oved Scheja

Lizzie Oved Scheja is the co-founder and director of Judisk kultur i Sverige, a forefront institution for Jewish culture in Europe, that was Guest of Honor at the Book Fair in Göteborg 2023. She is recipient of several awards among them H.M. King of Sweden medal for ’betydande insatser för judiskt liv i Sverige’; Aaron Isaac Medal, Tjugosjunde January Pris, Karin Bornstein-priset. She is the chairperson of Sveriges Museum om Förintelsen International Advisory Board, CEO of the of the Gilel Storch Award, Board member of the Institute for Holocaust Research in Sweden (IHRS) and jury member of Judisk Krönikas pris till Jackie Jakubowskis minne.

Hynek Pallas
author, cultural critic and doctor of cinema studies
Hynek Pallas is an author, cultural critic, and doctor of cinema studies. He has published seven books, including Frimärkssamlaren (The Stamp Collector), and co-directed the TV series Bergman's Video. In 2024, he was awarded the Judisk Krönika prize in memory of Jackie Jakubowski “for his deep understanding of history and sharp eye on the present.”
